Where did the last 5 years go?

WOW! I cannot believe that it has been 5 years since we welcomed Mason into the world! I remember it like it was yesterday! My water had broke around 5:45 pm, on the 25th. We headed to the hospital about an hour later. Even though my water had broke, I was not in labor, so they had to induce me. Around 11 pm, I was given a gel to try and soften my cervix and speed things along. I was told to get some sleep, and they will check me in the morning. Well, early the next morning......NOTHING! They started an IV with Pitocin around 7 am. Finally I started feeling contractions, and fought through them till about 4 pm. I was in a lot of pain, and asked them to check me. She said I was 4 cm! After all that time I was ONLY 4 cm!!!! I told them I couldn't go anymore.....bring on the epidural! So they placed an epidural at 4:30 pm, and I waited to feel some relief, but instead I was in TERRIBLE pain! The doctor checked me again, and he said "It's time to have a baby.....the head was crowning! So in less then 30 minutes, I went from 4 cm to crowning! More progress then I had made all day! So they got everything ready and I pushed one time, and he was born at 5:03! He was gorgeous and I was (and still am) so in love!

Fast forward 5 years, and Mason is quite the character! He makes us laugh with the things he says, he loves to play trucks with his brother, enjoys playing the wii and the ds, and likes helping Mommy! Mason is involved in AWANA, attends preschool, and likes to play with his friends!

I count myself very blessed to have him as my son! Happy Birthday to my sweet, sweet boy!
