Well, we have officially experienced another "first" in our family. For the last month or so, Mason has been having bouts of diarehea and abdominal pain. Since I have Crohn's Disease and Celiac's Disease, I worry about my kids inheriting these wretched diseases as well. So today Mason was scheduled to have an abdomial x-ray done, as well as some bloodwork. They are checking for inflamation in the bowel and Celiac's Disease. Of course I must document EVERYTHING in my kids' lives, so here are some pics of our morning.
He did an AWESOME job with the X-ray!
This actually didn't go as bad as I anticipated! He did cry alot, but I was expecting screams and 2 nurses trying to hold him down! He sat very still and just cried!
Since he was such a brave boy and did so well, the nurses told him that he could go to the stuffed animal cupboard and pick a "friend" to take home. Here he is cleaning out the entire cupboard trying to find the perfect one!
My stinking camera batteries died (ugh), so I had to wait till we got home to take a picture of what he chose!
Showing off his battle wounds! They even gave him red gauze to match Elmo! They were so nice in there, and made this experience much easier for Mason. Now we await the test results......
good job being so brave, mason! hope the tests come back with good results - keep us posted!
