Home Sweet Home! I can finally say this phrase, and truly believe it! Our long time dream of home ownership has finally come true! We are exstatic to be moved into our new home and are enjoying making changes to things without getting any landlords permission! For those of you in blogland who don't know how this came to be, I'll fill you in! It's quite an unbelivable story!
My husband Darryl is in the landscaping business and has been maintaining the property of an elderly couple for about 8 years or so. We became very attatched to this couple and they became attatched to us and our children as well. They never had any children of their own, and I think that we kind of filled that void for them. Sadly, they both developed different kinds of cancer, and they passed away within a year and a half of each other. This past November, Mr. Wurmb passed away from a long battle with throat cancer. We were notified at the end of October (while vacationing at Myrtle Beach), that this couple had left their home to Darryl and I! We were dumbfounded when we got the news (as anyone would be), but we started making plans for the eventual move. After months of dealing with lawyers, paperwork, banks and phone calls, we were finally able to move on March 31st! We are just thrilled to start our new lives in this house, and we truly feel like this was meant to be our home!
We realize that we do not "deserve" this, or are "entitled" to it. This was by GOD's grace, and GOD's grace alone! Never underestimate what a kind word or a helping hand may mean to someone! I understand that this doesn't mean someone will leave their estate to you, but you just never know what kind of an impact you have on others! We are living, breathing examples that GOD is in control, HE does provide for our needs and HE does know the plans that he has for us! We intend to use this home to bring honor and glory to HIM, and to futher the kingom of GOD! We have so much to be grateful for, and we don't ever want pride to set in, that we "deserved" this! We are enjoying living here and we are very happy with it! Thank you to all of you who have lifted us up in prayer over the last several months! It has been a bumpy road, but GOD's timing is perfect!
"Now unto him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Ephesians 3:20
Until next time......
